Hi, just wondering if it was anyone on the forum that I followed up Flagstaff Hill tonight just before 5? Said hi to him and cracked on home.

It wasn't meant to be. Just wondered if the dude was on the forum. I have caught him a couple of times but with the traffic never got to talk much.

I plead innocence on the grounds that I go up the Expressway hill :D

How close are you to the Happy Valley CFS? I reckon I'm halfway between you and Tailwind.

Out the back of Flagstaff golf course, Fairlie Drive. I think the cycle track would be the long way home wouldn't it. I have ridden it once for a change of scenery and it made a change from the traffic on Flagstaff Hill. Might do it more often, for the extra Ks?

I can almost lob rocks on the roof of the Happy Valley CFS and work at Edwardstown. Riding straight down Flaggy Hill is the shortest way to work but apart from the danger, it's not really long enough, so I started riding across the ridge to the Expressway, then down that. It pushes the ride out to 18km which is a nice length and the Expressway isn't quite so nasty for the return trip. Lately though, once at the Expressway, I take the Marino bike track over the Hallet Cove, then to Marino, then to Glenelg and back up the Sturt River. This gives me a 30 km ride which is a great way to start the day, especially as you get to ride along the beach front and even on stormy days, the sea is good to look at, not to mention some of the pedestrians. I don't come home that way ... yet.

When it warms up sufficiently, I'll detour on the way in, to get the miles up. A trip along the coast in the morning would be cool, then duck across Don Bradman to the airport.

Looking forward to it already.
