If ANYONE can help out, let me know.
Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...You could always draw a dick in the shape of anna bligh? I'm sure if you find a local skatepark and offer $10-20 each for them to do the deed you'll have helpers a-plenty

Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...may i ask what is the hill of death?
rode willunga hill yesty... far from death like.... rode checkers the day before... 20%+ is more death like.... and consdering the Challenge ride is going up checkers, i would suggest there will be some real carnage there....
Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...
yeah so it washes away etc... they always use chalk dont they?
Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...could use a water based paint diluted down a bit so that in a few months the weather and cars will remove it also often water based is good to the planet. Chalk will last a day and may be slippery (if put on thick, think talc powder) for the riders trying to power up a hill. If its checkers hill I am keen, but not very artistic:)

Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...Whatever is used, I would hope that it is specifically chosen to not affect the grip/resistance or other normal properties of the road. For obvious reasons.

Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...and I'm not too sure that I would trust the abilities of anyone in a state that manufactures Southwark! Yech.

X 2 Use anything but chalk - and you are asking for unwanted attention. http://velonews.competitor.com/2010/05/ ... its_116144
Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...
Chalk wouldn't be used at events such as the Tour de France if it was slippery, wet or dry.
Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...The difference betweeen the TDU and the TOC is that our event is fun. Its the event more and more pro's love to ride, and the fans and organisors embrace and encourage everyone to go nuts.
Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...
Have you ever lived in Adelaide? I have and not everyone loves or embraces the TDU.
Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...
Hey Womble, I didn't know you were such a pro. You spend so much time on the forum; seriously I thought you didn’t even have a bike. Oh, please no paint. Chalk is the way to go. I am with Nate and Drunkmonkey on that. A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...Apple, my issue is never being able to put the iPhone down and having too gooda plan. My wife hates it
Chalk would be freindlier for the job. Driven over wet paint before and got very upset
Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...
Huh? you lost me there. I was referring to the adelaide race
Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...
the Adelaide race is the TDU - tour down under, maybe re read it and you will get it.
Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...
There are those that ride, and those that claim to be cyclists
Re: Anyone in Adelaide handy with a roller brush...I can give the chalk a go but I assume it will need to be done the night before the event and I am told by my bro inlaw (who is an orriffcer of the law) that the bacon will be patroling the area in the lead up to each stage. Is there a law against drawing on the road??. I know you can get done for loitering or something similar if you are standin in the middle of the road doing stuff to stop traffic. I think Checkers will be dead for traffic apart from a few locals.
Anyone know where to get huge bits of chalk?? and lots of it?? Bill TdF 2011: as Cadel Evans crosses the finish at Alpe-d’Huez: "I reckon tonight in hindsight he may have won the Tour de France tomorrow." The man Phil Ligget !!!
