April 9 Group ride to help japan

The 11th of March has become an unforgettable day for Japan. It has been hit by a largest earthquake in the history of Japan. Tsunami has also devastated many towns by the coast line and many people are still suffering.

We are organising this charity ride to help them.

It has two groups; Hills riders and coast riders
there will be 2 rides, both start from the himeji gardens on south tce, one to mount lofty the other to the coast, both rides return to the gardens where we can all go for coffee in hutt street afterwards

April is the best season in Japan for cherry blossom. So if its not happeining, all cherry blossom can flower next month. but this year many people cant see.....so event name...SAKURA ride. I hope all japanese could see beatiful flower again next year.

I wanted to have time for adivertise. So I decided this event on 9th of Apr.

our starting poing is the Himeji garden. one group go to the Glenelg, another group is to the mt. lofty. All riders return to the Himeji garden and we collect donation.

If many people join, maybe scout group help us for making BBQ after rideing. if not many people, just we go to the cafe on Hutt st.

But today I spoke with my mom and also friends of mine who are living near Tokyo. they said...also Tokyo has not enough food..drinks and toilet paper...etc. My mom said now is looks during the war...everybody are panick. My friend said...half of Japan island is nearly died. Need to have food, need everything...for life.

so I think much donation welcome. of course if this event has many people, its bit hard to organise...I know...but I need

Now Tim and Mark help me as the coast leaders. and also Dave will be a hills leader.

Today I spoke with Bike SA.

After getting all information, they can put this event on their e-new letter for advertise.

Also If all helpers dont mind, I try to contact some radio station....or newpaper or etc....

If you have any idea...or any comment, let me know....

Good on you guys for organising this. Let us know if you are going to have secure facilities for donations to the ride for us interstaters.

I would rather help someone directly so if it is an issue of food, water etc are we looking at care packages at this point?!!
