Re: holy hills batman! No idea about Sheok or Thirkel, but the Lynton Path has quite a few very steep sections of 18 - 22%.
Re: holy hills batman!meh. i have read that here before. Is that off your garmin MB? It is certainly steep just after the first hairpin, but 22% ? Sign at bottom of Sheoak says 20% and that feels steeper. The Thirkel hairpins are ridiculous....but fun!
Re: holy hills batman!Sheoak is definitely the steepest out of those three although only for a short section. The top section of Coach Rd is close though, as is the Woodland Way near Norton Summit.

Yep, off the Garmin, and it's accurate enough to prove that I'm not a mountain goat. What makes the Lynton path a bugger, is there is several very steep, but short sections. Where is this mythical Thirkel Rd ?

Re: holy hills batman!
So it's a bit like Corkscrew Rd then ? Average of 9.7% means steeper than a fat sod needs to try and prove himself. Greenhill Rd, Norton Summit, Old Norton Summit & Mt Lofty via EoH are hard enough for me.
