Hayward Drive now that's nasty!

My cyling buddy took me to Hayward Drive, Glen Osmond. OMG!

Apart from swallowing my left lung, it was pure pain. I'm sure a few have tried this stretch of torture. I don't know what the gradient is but it sure has a sting in it. I have now added it to one of my must do regular rides.

Hi, I think its very hard.I used it last year to train for Checkers. The Street approaching it is an attention getter too unless you like to ride in reverse.

Yep, it's a bugger to get up, but sweet to get down !!!

If you go up from Mt Osmond from the freeway side, that ride over the top and down is almost as good as Woods Hill Rd.

Climb (from cnr of Sunnyside drive to 115 Mt Osmond Rd) is 2.15km and rises 206m giving a anverage gradient of about 9.6%

Generally has bugger all traffic too :D

Up Mt Osmond from Beaumont side hits a max of 16% and is about 12% in the easier bits. Great training climb, short but hard.

Looks windy too. Perfect for some trike drifting!
