Black Hill Conservation Park

I've been looking for rides around my area and stumbled upon this route near my place: ... /629448347

Looks like a decent ride, anyone here ever tried it ? I'm wondering what the track is like, whether my Town and Country tires are going to handle it or if I should stick my knobblies back on.

Also, does anyone know if its possible to cut from Mavis Rd to Addison Ave for a shorter route ?

Looks like an interesting ride- I would be interested to hear your experiences after doing it. I had always wondered if it was possible to loop through the park. My parents live in athelstone (not far from foxfield) and it would be good to go for a loop and then stop back at their place for coffee afterwards :-).

Ummm according to this you are not allowed to cycle in the park :(

Looks like that idea's out.

I know this is a very late reply, but that ride woule be a PITA. Going up the Montacute Rd side of the hill would be a huge effort. From memory you'd be doing a lot of walking. Heading down the ridge track "would" be interesting if you were to ride it. I think you'd go through brake pads pretty quick if you did that loop frequently. :)
