I think we will have a little climbing , flat and then some coffee. :D Something to suit everyone. We will keep a avg pace and wait for anyone if they get dropped, or someone will turn around and pick them up.

So how many do we have atm?

i'm in.
Maybe a spin out of the city up to lower North east road, Gorge Rd up to the Lake lookout, then back down George Rd to the city for coffee, and the climbing maniacs could turn off and do Corkscrew Rd then down Montacute and back to the city. Bit of flat bit of gentle hills some short serious hill work to the lookout and a real bitch up corkscrew and some cool descending. If people need to stop or recover the group will be back down the same roads and if you dont like the hills you can do a few runs up and down the lower part of Gorge rd

Sounds good, now where and when, I have to go to work at 10.30 I'm afraid so hoping for an early start?

I'm happy to take charge of Mountain goats and show you up Corkscrew and if there are some keen climbers we can just continue up Montacute and across to Greenhil Rd and down to Glenelg or wherever coffee is. Won't take too much longer and the flats mob could say go to Glenelg via Grange and we would all arrive pretty much at the same time. If not just down Montacute and to the beach, either works. Not sure what the coffee shop traffic will be like on Sunday, getting a seat at Glenelg could be tricky, what has the past experience been?

Let us know Road Captain!

Edit - I just reread and realised we are talking about the 22nd not this week. Still in, hopefully start work later next week. 8)

Darn it

I'm out. Family Christmas do Saturday night and will be staying down McLaren Vale with the kids, so even if I get up real early, with kids it just ain't going to happen

Any other rides on let me know, I'm keen, just real busy :(

Norton Summit and then Glenelg sounds good to me. A few memberss of Adelaide Cyclist might be tempted to join in the festivities (if welcome) to show some good ol' southern hospitality.

I know Rob's planning up Norton, down Greenhill so a later start would still see us back in the city in plenty of time for coffee and allow riders to get back to their hotels etc. and get showered and changed well before the race starts. I'm happy whatever time we start, I'll just go with the flow.

Let's still meet at the East end of Rundle Mall, easy to find. There is a great coffee shop just off Rundle St which is very bike friendly with plenty of parking space. I can point it out as we head off. Up Norton, across to Greenhill and down will be a max 2hr ride. Hope that suits everyone.

7am is better for me with 2 very young kids I need a bit of leeway in the morning to assist the wife to get things underway in the am.
