Road bike rental in Adelaide during fringe

Hello from Scotland.

I'm coming to Adelaide for my 2nd Fringe. Last year I tried hiring a road bike but could not source one. This year I thought about bringing my own bike (cannondale six13) over, however Singapore Airlines have just quoted me £480 excess.

Does anyone know of anywhere that will rent me a decent quality road bike for a month?

Also where can I find info on regular bunch rides, times and route

I have a lot of training miles to do whilst in SA so your help would be much appreciated.

Hi Alan, the first 2 links are for bike hire. I'm sure for a month you could get a better rate. The third link is for bike SA. They post up all group rides which are open to all. You will find Adelaide very easy to navigate. Hope this helps and enjoy your trip.

I can't vouch for the service as I've not used it, but Bicycles Express up on Halifax Street hire out a Trek Madone for $75/day. Perhaps you could make some arrangement for a discount for a long term rental?

Otherwise, the quoted cost from the airline might seem a better option.
