Norton Numpty 4/2/2012

Firstly, I hope I'm not breaking any rules here but was wanting to find out how the tale of the Norton Numpty ended yesterday if anybody here was there or knows someone who was.
DISCLAIMER: I did not see anything as I rolled up to the Scenic Hotel only in time for the aftermath but do know that all witnesses left details with the relevant party.
From what I understand, a vehicle turning onto NS road from Old NS road at Scenic Hotel intersection allegedly very erratically around the corner was lucky not to have seriously injured (or worse) a cyclist apparently due to some very good evasive action from said cyclist. What proceeded was that keys were removed from Numpty's vehicle as it was alleged he was under the influence. When I got to the top, said vehicle was in the middle of the road with Numpty inside. He was outnumbered about 15 to 1 and imagine that is the only reason he did not do a runner or resort to violence. He was stranded and it is my understanding the police were called to come and assess but when I left, Numpty was protesting with cyclist to give him his keys back (not sure how legal it was to take them anyhow but it's not my place to judge).
It was the most bizarre experience and no doubt terrifying for the parties actually involved. Hope cyclist involved is OK an if allegations against Numpty were proven I hope he was dealt with appropriately by the police.
