On Sunday 19 April Audax ACT is organising a 220km ride which can be bumped up to a 300km
ride, for those keen to achieve the distance.
Route begins at Dickson (carpark near servo on Antil St) at 6.30am and heads
north on the federal highway to the Bywong Rd turn off. We go through Bungendore
on to Tarago and Goulburn. After refreshments at the Green Grocer cafe we head
into the hills in the northwest before descending into Breadalbane and
Collector, around Lake George then take the scenic old federal highway back to
rejoin the highway. Head straight back to Dickson on the new highway.
For the 300km riders, they head out on an 80km loop, first along the Barton
Highway to the Nanaima Rd, then east on the Murrumbateman Rd. Head for home by
turning right towards Sutton, then back down the new federal highway (for the
second time!). Finish back at Dickson.
Route can be viewed on bikely:
The time limit for the 220 extends after sunset so ALL riders will need to meet
lighting and reflective vest requirements. See www.audax.org.au for details of lighting requirements.
You must let the organiser (Daniel [email protected] ) know by Thursday 16 April if you want to come along and which ride you're
interested in. Entry fees apply.
