one of the Hartley Challenge teams is fundraising on Saturday 24th October with back-to-back Les Mills RPM classes at Fitness First Civic.
Classes will be running from about 8:15 until 5:30ish (finish time). If you've never done RPM it's a 45 minute (or 1 hr) indoor cycling workout set to music. Tracks alternate from hill climb, to speed and intervals - it's a great workout.
Classes are being offered for a $10 donation - that's less than half the price of a casual gym visit, with proceeds going to assist Hartley Lifecare. Classes are at 9:15am, 10:15am, 11:15am, 12:15pm, 1:15pm, 2:15pm, 3:15pm, and 4:15pm (75 min class).
For bookings please contact email [email protected] or call Kristine Schilling – 0438 280 035. Payment will be collected on the day. Bookings and payment can be made at the gym on the day but spots are very limited so get in early to avoid disappointment! Mystery prize on the day for the person who completes the most consecutive classes.
Hartley Lifecare is a Canberra-based organisation that has provided accommodation support and respite care to children and adults in the ACT with physical and complex disabilities for more than 45 years.
While sometimes people think disabilities are only caused at birth, the reality is they can happen unexpectedly to anybody at any stage of life. It could be you or another family member. It could be a friend, neighbour or work colleague.
While disabilities change lives forever, they don’t have to stop life forever. With special, intensive, ongoing support, people with physical and complex disabilities can lead fulfilling lives. That is what Hartley Lifecare is all about.
