Anyone planning a hefty ride next Monday (pub holiday)? I was considering 6 peaks or maybe just a conder creek run. Open to suggestions if no one is interested in one of those.

I would like to do a morning ride though not an overly hefty one. Would be happy to tag along for bits of a longer ride (or not, depending on the state of my legs and the hills).

Cripes!!! While I said hefty, I meant around the 100-120 mark... I was hoping to spend some time with my family that day. Last opportunity for 10 weeks til the next school hols. Looking for about 3-3.5 hours in the saddle. If you are doing Goulburn or Lake George circumnavigation, I would seriously consider joining, but turning back at Collector.

Ditto except turning back at Lake George! That's 100km round trip from my place.

Goulburn, sheesh. I'll be happy to join you guys for a ride someday, but I'm not up for a killer like that yet. I haven't even completed a century yet. Plus, I think my Ribble complete with mudguards and a bell might not fit in.

out to Collector on old/new federal highway will make it tag over 100km.
Never been out there yet, but distance-wise it's great for a morning scroll.

Will leave Goulburn to sometime in the future.

Yep good for me. I'll look at some routes than make an easy turn-back so we can include as many people as possible.

Edit: But given some other discussions on the board I think I may have trouble keeping up with Mr Golf and Eric ... maybe a nice flat ride...

7am start at Dickson is out for me as I was planning to ride to the start, so I'll do my own thing. I might still ride Weston Ck-Dickson-Fed Hwy to the top of the climb after Yass River and back which is about 70km.

By other discussions, you would have me floundering after about 150kms... I am just happy to get out riding some K's with some other like mindeds... Stupid attempts at speed are best left for the bakery bunch...

7 (AT) Dickson is a bit early for me too - It'll take at least an hour to get out there for me. Want some company Steph?

Well we could do a compromise, three of us meet at 7am at Dickson, ride over to Tuggers and meet people at 8ish and then continue down to Tharwa, Top Naas and then onto Apollo Rd and up Honeysuckle. From tuggers its 33km out, mind you the 26km-32km section is steep but really worth the effort :) just a thought...

think it needs to be a straight out and back, maybe old fed h'way, to keep to 4 hours. 120km is gonna be pushing it, esp if there is any wind on lake george. If we can get a pace line going maybe...

Depends on the amount of riders... Even 2+2 would assist, but single line might be better in this instance. Happy to take a bunch of turns on the front. I reckon we should be able to cover close to 120 in 4 hours. At 7am (read 8am accross Lake George) we should be fine for wind. Coming back at about 9:30 shouldnt be too bad, either. Mind you, I dont want to tease the weather gods. Has be gorgeous of late...
