Perusing the Chronicle today I discovered there is an MTBO event on this weekend as part of Orienteering Week.

The event will be using the East Stromlo map, which is basically the old Deeks Forest and across the river towards Misery Hill and the Arboretum. With most of that being turned into suburbia soon, it's pretty much your last chance to ride in that block, which was also used for the first five Mont 24h races (ie pre-bushfires and the move to Kowen). A huge blast from the past - so many tracks and events to remember...
