Gungahlin Dr bike path ripped up

The section of bike path that runs next to Gungahlin Dr between Sanford St and Wells Station Rd (near Mitchell) has been ripped up and is now a combination of small rocks and loose dirt, caution is required when riding a road bike there. I guess the path is being 'upgraded', not that I was aware there is anything wrong with it. Some warning signage wouldn't go astray.

If the govt wanted to do something constructive instead of wasting money fixing paths with non-existent problems then they should re-do the path on Flemington Rd (Mitchell) that runs past EPIC. Just about need a MTB to traverse that with all the tree roots pushing their way to the surface.

I agree! I have a Hybrid bike with no suspension and it quite literally HURTS!

Another section that is overdue to be re-done is the bike path that leads from Belconnen, Benjamin Way, over Catchpole Street, Redfern Street and pops out near Bindubi Street. It has that many tree roots pushing up the road base I'm thinking of getting a Triple Crown suspension DH Bike to cope with the bumps.
