Re: Cycling around Lake Burley Griffin - okay with road tyre
Thanks. Would love to meet up, but can't really confirm time since it all depends on how long we take to see Floriade. And if we're too tired, may postpone the cycling till Mon morning. We're staying in Forrest, so will probably cycle from the hotel down to the lake, do a full loop, then cycle back. PM me with mobile, and I can send a text on the day. Re: Cycling around Lake Burley Griffin - okay with road tyreArrived in Canberra, but no cycling today. Too pooped after Floriade.
Saw lots of cyclists on the streets today! Envy them - Canberra looks like a nice place to cycle. Will try and do the lake loop tomorrow morning. Weekdays: "Bliss" (Trek Madone 5.2 2012) | Weekends: "Cadel" (self built) | Casual: "Kitty" (Giant Cypress LDS 2009)
Re: Cycling around Lake Burley Griffin - okay with road tyreBetter late than never to post an update.
We had a lovely ride on Mon morning, it was so cold I think I had frostbite on my fingers, and didn't sweat for the entire ride. Re: Cycling around Lake Burley Griffin - okay with road tyreCold? Hang on, that was the morning I had to work. Cold... sort of... bit foggy, but that was on my way home at four in the morning.
Being truthful, Monday was a beautiful day, and I missed out on a decent ride due to aforementioned work. But I did get to ride home yesterday in nicks and jersey - no shoe covers, pants, arm warmers, beanie, gilet, big gloves... CT - thanks for bringing the good weather with you. I ride, therefore I am.
