Bike friendly Cafe'sWhat is your favourite bike friendly cafe/bakery to stop off at, north and south - we are new and looking and for some recommendations
Re: Bike friendly Cafe'sPurple Pickle at ANU is pretty good. Spill the Beans at Dickson is good too. Velo Republic at Kingston is worth a look even if just for novelty value as it has a bike shop out the back with lots of bling parts!
Re: Bike friendly Cafe'sSlightly OT, but did you hear about the Brissy cafe that banned cyclists for being bad for business 2 weeks ago? Maybe carry deoderant
Re: Bike friendly Cafe'sI'd be happy to find one that made a decent coffee without charging more than the cost of my Roubaix for the privilege. Guess I'll just stick to the home roasted beans and the coffee goodness that comes out of my Diadema Unico Splendor/ Mazzer Super Jolly combination.

Weston - Sakeenas (seems to be good food, ok coffee and close to stromlo) Kingston - Velo Republic (Bike shop / cafe) North Side Dickson - Praga (Used to have a range of eastern european / russian team jerseys for sale) Other Gundaroo - Cork St Cafe Gunning - The Old Hume. Merino Cafe is ok too, but service has been *slow*. In both need to ask for a strong coffee. Braidwood - Cafe Albion Murrumbateman - ? RG rage kicking in
Re: Bike friendly Cafe'sStopped at Kingston Grind on the weekend. Has my favourite coffee in Canberra.
Re: Bike friendly Cafe'sThe recently opened Lonsdale Roasters (next to Lonsdale Cyclery and opposite the Lonsdale St Ride Shop) seem to be full of lycra clad cyclists every morning and there's bikes hanging up on the walls, so would say they seem bike friendy ; )
Prices are decent too... I've been going just because it's the best coffee around (imho), but the treats are better at Cornucopia. Solution: stop off at cornucopia for take-away, eat while walking to Lonsdale Roasters, get coffee. Roasters hours aren't great though in the afternoons or weekends (close 2 on Saturday, not open Sunday) but they do open early, so alright for the earlybirds.
Re: Bike friendly Cafe's+1 Roasters... around the corner from work!
While the coffee isn't the best, the gelato is great in the little cafe in Parkes Place. Central location means its a good halfway stop. 2011 Allegro Touring 105 groupo, Ultegra Velocity Deep V rims
Re: Bike friendly Cafe'sOxygen in Woden are really good as well.
