End of my (single) life ride - March 27th

Postby rockviewau » Tue Jan 25, 2011 11:14 pm

Since the Amy ride is earlier this year and on a Monday, instead of the 27th im annoyed.
I was going to do the ride as part of my final week of been a single man before I get married the week after.

SO

Anyone who wants to come ride with me on the 27th, somewhere, i dont mind where, maybe even the same course as the amy ride and can keep up with me (hahahahahah), i will be riding to the end of my (single) life.

All welcome and encouraged to come have a fun day (and meet other BNA - ACT members!!!)

DON'T do it man, I got married when I was 62 (I know young and foolish, rushed into it, only known each other 30 odd years) and now she keeps on for me not ride such long distances - like 3 months at a time is long?

Well all the best anyway.

Assuming i'm here that weekend, which is looking likely i'm in. Are you planning to do the 65km? I'm not sure i'll quite make the 110 ride just yet...

Rockview

I'm keen - post up here closer to the date with the details. Any distance (under 200k's!) suits me. Climbing is fine too.

Cheers

Rockview

I'm still keen and being 5 years married, am happy to impart some wisdom during the ride if so desired!

My fave ride is lake George and return, followed by the tharwa/tidbinbilla/cotter/uriarra/stromlo loop. Otherwise I'm happy to go with the flow.

Cheers.

Tharwa - Fitz's - Honeysuckle - Corin Dam - Tharwa. 124km, mapmyride says about 1870m of climbing. Sort of a hell ride, a mini Fitz's Challenge. Or you could do a lap of the lake and play dodge the pedestrians, both challenging rides in their own right.

As a wedding present the forumers should drive you to the top so you only have to do the descents. :)

if i am gettin a lift up to the top of some of those climbs, ill happily take the car!!!!

and yes i agree the lake is a challenge.... im finding riding to lake tuggs is bad enough with peds walking dogs off leashes.... not a fun time.

lake george sounds good :) never done that one!!

Still on AFAIK. Princess doesn't care where we go, so it sound like 5 peaks with a trip out Tidbinbilla way is the go.

I'll give him a shove to make some decisions
