Fog alert

Fog alert

Postby aldifan » Tue Apr 19, 2011 9:00 pm

The weather is turning to winter soon so it is time to remember things like where the fog settles. The coldest I have ever felt is when the sun was shining on a crisp clear Canberra autumn morning and I rode out of Page making my way down the bike path next to the Belconnen way when I hit the fog just a few yards short of where the Bunnings is now. No matter how nice it looks when you start out remember it is no fun riding your bike when you can not feel whether your fingers are working or not. Remember to pack your gloves and a wind proof jacket.

Good tip, though of course Belco is on average 2 degrees C warmer than the rest of the ACT because of all the burning cars...
There are four phases of bicycle commuting; first there's fear, then rage, then self-righteousness and finally, fun.
