This was my first Fitz's, and I did the 105. Based on the elevation map I thought it'd be similar or potentially easier than the 105 BCBR earlier in the year; I definitely underestimates the bit around Pierces Creek. It didn't help that my riding partner got two flats; one just after the start and one just before Tharwa. Legs cooling down == not good.
A nice day for a ride, so long as you finished early enough!

Wherever did you find a bicycle for a cat?! Sorry.... practising dad jokes obviously.auskonrad wrote:Just looked now - seems fixed... at least for my cat.
My time seemed right. Equal 50th for the 50km. Hey, my goal was to finish my first ever event, and I did that.

I don't now why they bothered listing times or places when they didn't measure or observe the finish. considering they were an hour off for me !!
pointless...

Don't knock the timing too much or they mightn't do it next year. It is only a guide and finding I was above the mid-point in the 105km gave me an idea of how the 70 year old body is standing up. Now I just need to get them to include age brackets so I can really get competitive in my age group!

You can do that every Sunday morning during Summer and every Saturday afternoon during Winter - http://www.actvets.cc/DarrylH wrote:Don't knock the timing too much or they mightn't do it next year. But you have a few years to improve. I don't expect to get any faster.
