Motorist incident, rider down on Vikings Norman ride

I was lucky I wasn't involved. I was planning to ride the Vikings Norman but woke up late and then on my commute to start of ride I remembered 2km from home that had left stuff behind and had to turn back and eventually got to ANU 15 mins after start of ride so shortcutted up through Parliament House and Melbourne Ave to the base of Red Hill and then ITT'd up Mugga Way and caught the faster bunch. The slower bunch was one involved in incident, the one I would of been in if I was on time this morning. Another friend said yesterday she planned to do the ride too but went back to bed after seeing the temp was -3 degrees. Looks like fate kicked in. :o
