I cannot go past Dobinsons in the City (across the road from Sportsmans warehouse).....coffee is good and their pastries are very naughty! worth checking out if in you the city.

I went to a conference in Canberra a few years ago. First morning I ate the hotels breakfast smorgasbord ... sheesh. Next day I got in a taxi and asked to be taken to a cafe for breakfast. Was taken to Gus' Cafe in civic ... and went back each day for the rest of my stay.

My vote goes for AD's in Weston

Awsome coffee Awsome service & you even get a chocky with your coffee.

We use it as our meeting point then do a Mt Stromlo & Uriarra loop.
