Tubes

Postby stu » Sat May 10, 2008 7:29 pm

Went out for my ride this morning towards Tharwa & ive got to say I was a little stunned by the amount of dead tubes on the side of the road. I counted 4 or 5 in my ride so who knows how many are scattered everywere else. Is it realy so hard to throw the old one back in your pocket or seat bag?

Not sure where stu means...

When you ride south along Tharwa road out of the Suburb of Banks, at the southern extent of Canberra, the change of scenery is quite dramatic.

From full suburbia to very picturesque Australian countryside, very Hans Heyson.

Lots of cyclists, not sure why they discard their tubes, not common where I ride.

They've probably cleaned all the tubes up in the time since Stu posted (before Christmas). Councils do that sometimes.
Think outside the double triangle.

Ive started heading out the Federal hwy instead & its even more interesting whats on the sides of the hwy. Apart from your normal KFC & MAcdonalds wrapers theres glass everywhere parts of bumper bars headlights & flashers more glass bits of truck tyres & lots more.
Certianly makes you realise what messy people we live with.
