A man armed with a knife robbed a teenage boy of his bicycle in Gungahlin on Friday, police said.
Police said the 15-year-old lent his bike to the man at Yerrabi Ponds Skate Park about 4.15pm.
"When the teenager requested the return of his bicycle, the man showed the teenager a knife which was concealed inside his vest and made verbal threats," police said in a statement.
"The man then rode away on the stolen bicycle. The bicycle can be described as mottled red and black in colour, with a number of stickers on the frame."
The man was described as a Pacific Islander with tanned skin, short black hair and dark facial hair. He had been wearing baggy blue jeans, long sleeve top with a black "puffa" vest. He spoke with a strong accent, possibly British.
Police ask anyone who knows the man or anything about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at http://www.act.crimestoppers.com.au" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
