Hi all If you ride in or through the City of Stirling, now is your chance to help us improve conditions for cyclists. We are undertaking public consultation to help us develop our new bike plan. If you would like to receive a copy of the survey to complete, please email us on cycling@stirling.wa.gov.auThe questions are quite specific, so if there are any other issues that you would like to raise with us that arent addressed in the survey, please feel free to email them through on the same email address. This account has been set up specifically for on-going feedback about cycling issues within our area so please make use of it, now and in the future! thanks Joanne Burgess City of Stirling TravelSmart Officer.

Thanks Joanne, for giving cyclists the opportunity to have some input in your planning. I'm sure many members here will have something to say, and hopefully, most of it will be constructive! Unfortunately, I'm not qualified to say anything from first hand experience - I avoid riding through the City of Stirling based on reports of confusing and indirect cycle paths heading north from the city along the Mitchell Fwy. It's a shame, really, because cycling takes me to so many other parts of Perth, and your area misses out on the money I spend along my travels. Anyway, I hope the survey is a success. Cheers, Graeme

Hi Joanne
Thanks for posting this here. As a City of Stirling resident, I look forward to the opportunity to participate in the survey. Is it likely to posted on website, or will it only be available via email?
May I suggest you let the BTA know as well so that they can promote it on their BTA Ebulletin.
Email on the way.
Thanks Andrew

Joanne, glad to see you on the forum. E-mail request sent off tonight requesting a copy of this survey. I would be interested in what type of response the City of Stirling has had to Community Safe Speed Promise which includes - 'Be courteous to pedestrians and cyclists and all other road users'. Are you able to provide any statistics on take-up and can I get a sticker for my bike even though I'm only a past resident in Stirling?

G'day
Received the survey form today. It has to be printed off to be completed and then posted or faxed back to the City of Stirling. Postal address, who to send it to etc is not clear on the form. Joanne suggests that they are keen to get responses, but they are making it difficult at the same time IMO.
Regards Andrew

though CoS might prefer requests for survey direct to CoS to keep stats of survey requests vs survey responses.

I posted my survey back about 2 weeks ago. Also, Helen returned 1 a couple of days later.

I also returned my survey some time ago. Perhaps it was me but I found the questions very difficult to answer because they were not easy, IMO, to interpret. Luckily there are some cleverer people out there!
