Postby moosterbounce » Sun May 13, 2007 9:51 pm

Has anyone signed up for the Bicling Australia Challenge - Tour de Freedom yet? It is from Perth to Albany in 5 days!!

http://www.one80tc.org/tdf/
Option A Option B*
Day 1 Perth to Perth (Via Two Rocks) 110km 55km
Day 2 Perth to Bunbury 185km 92km
Day 3 Bunbury to Margaret River 101km 50km
Day 4 Margaret River to Pemberton 162km 80km
Day 5 Pemberton to Albany 236km 120km
Day 6 Chartered flight back to Perth
Total Distance 794km 397km

It would be fun, but I won't be there unfortunately.

Look forward to hearing any reports from those who are going.

I looked at it and they don't appear to be riding with loaded panniers

After my previous experience with a similiar type of tour, I'm inclined to tour solo or in small group only (persoonal preference). :D

It does look like a good ride though, but I'm already booked for that time if all goes to plan.

If anyone does it, a ride report would be good.

I would love to do something like this one day - but the $3000 price tag is not really in the budget for the forseeable future!
