Maybe Gary was Jeff who sat with us for a while.rolandp wrote:Made it to Tuesday's BTA Sundowner, catching up with ColinOldnCranky, Fixed, CycleSnail and Gary
I loved the concept of a mechanic on site to help with basic maintenance. But I'm not sure if the alleged mechanic was informed. I had hoped I could someone to shift my tyre around the rim a quarter turn or so. But I've just lazily put it off for a month or so. Again and again and again.
Still, I found a guy who had a pump. And someone else loaned me their tyre levers. And my finger is sufficiently good now that I could do the job myself. And so it got done anyway.
I enjoyed the break from my normal routine and hope it happens again. And I would not reckon on another leadup like the storms of Monday and Tuesday so the numbers should be up considerably.
And to top it all off, I won a lottery prize!

and made it to Belmont for their breakfast this morning. Muffins, juice and coffee.
Colin, Gary was the electric bike man, was Jeff there when I first caught up with you? I can't recall his forum name, except I think it starts with the three initials of his name.

Just call me Greg!
Great to catch up with you all at the Sundowner – it was a great afternoon/evening.
And a big congratulations to Heinrich and his team for a wonderful effort.
I feel events like this build communities. Looking forward to the next one.
Cheers

They went thru three or fourtimes while I was there, but mostly they were peripheral to whatever and whoever I was in discussio with at the time. Crumpler bags will be glad to know that I did notice their ad - I took me two looks to work out what they were promoting. Very weird ad, with cacooned creature growing into a tree that fruited with back packs. Yep, really weird.
I saved a copy of the pic Heinrich - My wife bugs me for pics for her scrapbooking/album making hobby. But I have very few considering how much time I put into riding and they are almost all from others like yourself publishing them. Do you have any more?
