How has your Day started?
Postby bradwoodbr » Tue Mar 16, 2010 12:00 pm
Rode with the guys this morning on the usual Shelley loop. All five of us turned up so that made it even more fun.
Beautiful river scenes, a slight headwind for the rowers to work against.
I felt strong all the way and blasted up the hill not far behind the front two.
On the way home passed 'colinoldandcranky' on his unicycle. What a guy, gave a wave and a shout.
When I pulled into my driveway, Chuck, on his recumbent trike, had spotted me and stopped on his way to work.
Hadn't seen him for ages, so had a bit of chinwag. His trike is always so well setup. You are a legend Chuck.
Absolutely the best start to a day I have had in a long while.

Started my day at 5 o'clock with a 40km ride at 28.3km/hr. That is a good pace for me.
Pleasant riding this morning little wind not too cold.

crap...........
had planned to go on bunch ride at 5.30am but was too tired after working till midnight on report.
Should have gone on ride in any case but was just too tired and therefore possibly dangerous to others in bunch.
Pissed off that work got in the way yet again but did it becos one of my staff busted their getting somethin to me to read that is due today and i can only but repsect that effort by doing my bit of the bargain.
so i am just putting down to circumstances.............and am going to NOT make a habit of that particular circumstance

Beautiful morning for a ride - the southerly wasn't real nice around Freo but the coffee at Jac's in Adross sure made up for that.
60km's this morning, bit of a recovery ride after 150km on Sunday.
Going to take it steady this week so I can see what time I can manage on the Freeway bike day.

PS - FBH scares me.............. too may skill levels (and cycling motivations) mixed with too many speeds = too many big crashes. and that does not account for those that think they are skilled at bunch riding at speed when they are not.
Obviously this is a genralised staement and i agree with the thinknig behind the whole event but none the less it scares the crap out of me.
Actually - just realised this is prbably the wrong spot for this so i will stop now........

Yeah I've never done it before. I'm not afraid to take it easy and I'm not doing it in a bunch so I'll just mind my own business and piddle along.
You can keep the Oppy, ugh!!

Got home from school wanting to clear my head. And gosh I can't describe how pissed off I was.
I can't find my helmet and glasses, I usually keep my glasses in my helmet and...... ugh!
They've just disappeared into thin bloody air!!!
Not happy at all
