I managed to get a small article up on our corporate Intranet today as unknown to me, there were two people at work had articles published in the book - mine and the page after Nathan from Cleats and Cranks. Can't hurt to let people at work know about this book as it fits into prompting sustainability etc.

I'm impressed with the number of forum people in it, my list includes:

I have to say I love the book! I thought it was just going to be roadie stuff and wondered if it was worth it. Upon flicking through I noticed the inclusion of Sam Hill 8) , holly B 8) & the other cool mtn bike folks made my day.

Thanks for all the support and practical help, fellow forumites. Quicksilver is another forum member who features in the book.
Rob, sorry re TBE, I will take them off the list until I hear the books are on the shop floor. I know they have their consignment cos I delivered them myself last week, but maybe they are working their way through the system.
tks

Some for the Freeway Bike Hike and then a whole lot later on offroad events plus some others.

I'm still trying to figure out how you get action shots of cranks, rear cluster, bars etc at what appears to be a speed (p272, Riding like the wind). Or were they just done at low speed, long shutter time?

It all looks good anyway.

The weekly Garland Cycleworks email came out with a bit about the book and a quick photo of copies on the counter.

My workmates told me when I arrived this morning that Deb was on the ABC this morning (and that I am now famous in an admitedly VERY small pond of distance unicyclists).

If you want another one published in future, a book that does not just feature two states on the east coast, then you have to buy the book. Get one as a Christmas prezzie for some cycle crazy out there. There are plenty of us.

http://velocitywa.com.au/?page_id=42 for stockist, or get it online at http://velocitywa.com.au/

Good coverage on the ABC, but the presenter got away with a few "lycra latte drinkers" remarks and repeated the comments of a caller that the problem with cyclists in the Hills was they didn't ride in single file and didn't hug the kerb so that cars can pass them, neither of which are traffic laws.

hi

Do you know which show it was on? You can formally raise this with the ABC are ask that the presenter address the errors in law and ensure that their messages/comments are reflective of the law and encourage road safety, not the opposite.

Picked a copy up round new year, love it, I had no idea it was going to be so big or that there was so much happening here! I've been enjoying random stories at brekky. Great to see all the BNA'ers in there too. :D
