If the tool riding down Cambridge street last night at about 6.30 is on here...
You were wearing a dark red jacket and had all the fancy gear but no lights!!
I nearly ran you over pulling out onto Cambridge Street because I just couldn't see you (and I am very cyclist aware) and then 200m up the road someone else nearly ran you over because they couldn't see you either.
Do you have a death wish? Get some lights if you are riding at dusk/night time!!!!

Yes, it's amazing how daft some people are about visibility.
I ride, therefore I am. But don't ride into harm's way.

Whoever it was...please sort yourself out.
I don't care if you want to get mown down but I really dont want to:
a)Listen to the 'Woe betide me I got hit by a motorist' story.
or;
b) Have to get my car panel beaten.

Settle down. Probably caught out after sunset and forgot the lights.

It's no excuse, everyone should at least have a lightweight set of visibility lights on their bike. You can buy them on dealextreme for like $5 a set and they weigh bugger all and last for ages.jet-ski wrote:Settle down. Probably caught out after sunset and forgot the lights.
I'm with Karati, there's so many stupid riders around with no lights and no helmets at night or poor visibility, being a cyclist myself I am always very cyclist aware when driving, but we all have to do the right thing to avoid becoming a statistic.
