current roadside junk verge pickup locations

I've noticed a lot of interest in roadside pickups on the forums. So thought an ongoing topic that alerts each other of current pickup locations would be useful. To start it off does anyone know where the current City of Stirling junk verge pickup is? thx

try here. It'll take you to some map thingy where theres a thing for the verge collection at the bottom of the FAQ tab. But that involves you knowing the street address...

Also, is it true theres no roadside pickup for recycling in the city of stirling?

already know about the link. a few years back you could look up when an area was next having collection, but now a matter of knowing a street in each of the 15 or so areas, and these areas may have changed. CoS does have recycling, a "single bin" recycling system. This is the one in which they tell ratepayers they sort the single bin at a depot. This is in contrast to other local authorities that supply a number of bins to households then dump them together.

you're quite right its a bit of an awful system for what we want it for.

I know Applecross has bulk rubbish collection on Monday (11th) and theres normally some good stuff about. I've gotten a few bikes outta those ones.

My area currently has roadside collection, that is Bertram, Leda and the larger rural part of the Town of Kwinana.

The best bit is already gone though, I found a Giant OCR3 frame lying on the roadside last night all cables and shifters still attached too!

Anyone know where verge pickups are happening (if at all), at the moment? I'd rather not drive around Perth looking for one

Well don't then.... save you anoying the local residents by clamoring around junk piles all day and night.

I've got not issues with people picking through my junk. I think the only courtesy I like from fellow scabbers (as I exhibit it myself) is that they don't scatter 5h!t everywhere. If you must get something from under a pile - have the decency to re-stack it when you've got what you wanted.

Anything that slows the landfill process, I think is a good thing.

City of Stirling has a map showing pick up timeline. I do not know what other LGAs have.
