Re: Forum MTB Ride-Railway Reserve Midland to Mundaring andBit of a late response
The Railway trail was beautiful on my loaded touring bike. Did the kep track as well. Anyone want to do it before summer kicks in? Masi Speciale CX 2008 - Brooks B17 special saddle, Garmin Edge 810
Re: Forum MTB Ride-Railway Reserve Midland to Mundaring andI rode this for the first time on sunday, well, a 15km loop from Midland maccas to the tunnel and back. Really keen to get out on it a bit more, such a cool trail.

Re: Forum MTB Ride-Railway Reserve Midland to Mundaring andThinking a few weeks away at this stage, I've got to get over the hurdle of a lower back issue and my left shoulder starting to freeze up again from my crash a few months ago. Cortisone is wearing off

Re: Forum MTB Ride-Railway Reserve Midland to Mundaring andDepending on the time would be keen. Earlier in the day the better with the warmish weather coming on.
Kep is 70kms each way? ![]()
Re: Forum MTB Ride-Railway Reserve Midland to Mundaring and
152 km return ... we being myself and ajh did it in about 12 hours all up, well I slowed ajh up so could be done quicker. Madrapper has a ride report here. Andrew
Re: Forum MTB Ride-Railway Reserve Midland to Mundaring andWas thinking to Bakers hill. Towards Northam when I was on it, the track was heavily eroded and in bad need of repairs.

Re: Forum MTB Ride-Railway Reserve Midland to Mundaring and
Hmm a chance to try out the pie shop. My max ride has been 75kms. so probably Bakers Hill is a good effort. Got the Railway Reserve ride down to 2hours, so hopefully won't slow you down too much. I am easy as to Saturdays or Sundays. ![]()

Re: Forum MTB Ride-Railway Reserve Midland to Mundaring and
3rd or 4th, or 10/11th of December works for me (in fact any weekend morning with notice). Parkingwise not at any of the known horror spots, like the carpark at the end of Morrison Road, as it is usually full of broken glass. ![]()
Re: Forum MTB Ride-Railway Reserve Midland to Mundaring andI've merged two nearly identical threads as they were close enough to the same as to make no difference.
Shaun ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Re: Forum MTB Ride-Railway Reserve Midland to Mundaring andI did the Railway Reserve loop on Sunday. My estimates would have been 100's of fellow cyclists doing the same, based on the number of people I passed doing the reverse direction to the way I was travelling.
Really nice to see some water in the creeks, and fantastic weather. Let me know if you would like to join in and I will arrange another ride.
