100km today - what a killer!

Postby gdl_gdl » Sun Dec 09, 2007 1:03 pm

Strong Easterly wind today which had the effect of causing a constant streaming nose (and I always say that I don't have Hay Fever!) Left the house at 6.15am and it was a chilly 12 C. Given my ride is essentially a South - North ride then the Easterly's do me no favours at all! (Except the stretch from Swan Bells - City Beach.)

Average speed was 25.5km/h, down from last week but some of those Easterly's were 60km/h! (My wife sent me an SMS to tell me that, obviously it gave her great satisfaction! )

Cheers,

Gary

I thought that wind had some nip to it today. 12 deg and up to 60km/h? No wonder it took a while to warm up at 6.00 this morning! I had to push into it for about 35 minutes of my hour long trip and regretted not putting the leg warmers in.

Cheers,
Graeme
