Wheel sports facility

Postby moosterbounce » Thu Jan 10, 2008 10:20 am

Read in the freebie local paper a few weeks ago about a Wheeled Sports facility being built around the Wanneroo area. Apparently will be available for stuff like in-line skating and cycling.

Haven't seen anymore about it but will keep an eye out as it is meant to be completed about April 08.

If anyone hears more, please let me know.

Wheel sports facility

Perhaps it is going to be out at Barbagello Raceway seeing that the V8 Supercars are being dropped from WA. Hopefully they won't charge the same exhorbitant prices as the V8's did.

My question is what is going to happen with the Velodrome at Midland?

Why not also have something south of the demarkation line?

Still nice to see something proacitve being done.

Velodrome will remain - this was outdoor from what I could gather. Interesting...I may need to ring a council and find out more (as a last resort only though - I don't ring councils lightly  )

Maybe I'm not community minded enough; but I'm more impressed that someone actually reads those free local rags. :)

Actually the idea of sharing with inline skaters appeals to me especially after my last encounter with one.

Rollerball comes to mind..

Take a big, heavy MTB fitted with these, some wirecutters and a mate with a video camera 8)
