Perfect for a 77km extended commute/fast group ride to arrive at work where the air-con in the changing room had failed. May as well not had the shower.roller wrote:steamy

Went down to Mandurah and back.
For once, Seabreeze had the right forecast ie two tailwinds! (move over Midland!).

Hotter, it seemed, than the actual air temperature. And five minutes in the sun and I could feel the warmth on my nose from my glasses frame.
Today I chose to ride to Perth and back and expecting it to be a bit wearing. But it was beautifully cool when I started out and was still not too bad when I left my coffee shop for theretun trip home. Got home at 11:00 and it STILL felt better than yesterday.
Yet my wife tells me that today it was 44! A couple of degrees hotter than yesterday.
Go figure.
Edit: She tells me now that that was Bullbrook. I checked the BOM time records for Perth and Jandakot and it was a little less hot today. The world makes sense again.

Hasn't killed me yet over the last two days.
The same people will be whinging about the cold come the spring chills and the wet (or risk thereof) during winter.
Hit me up via the BNA dm; I'll get an alert. If y'know, you know.

Agree, Monday's baking hot dry winds made it feel so much worse. After that, Tuesday and today have been quite easy to cope with.Lozzie wrote:I found Monday worse than today. (Leaving work at 5) That hot wind was the worst but I don't have a long commute so not too bad.

Managed to hit the pavement when coming around to the underpass underneath the freeway North offramp by mounts bay road. Did it at a nice low speed, so no lasting(expensive) damage to bike/self, but it was a bit of a wakeup call.
Be safe out there!

Am I the only one who actually likes riding when it's still dark and cold in the mornings?
