NOR into the city wasnt too bad along Alexander Drive, however City to North Freo was a different story! tough work!

But it was amazing to hear all that wind blowing past one moment, then all of the sudden nothing as you turn right onto port beach/curtain ave, nothing but the sound of your wheels on the tarmac buzzing as the tailwind shoves you along

picked up a swag of PRs on strava all the way too Hilarys, made the initial hurt worth it

Hi Baalz,
You need a velo.
I suppose you end up with headwind both ways too just to rub it in.

Tailwind to Canning Bridge, picked up 3rd and 2nd fastest on my 20kg Surly LHT....
Headwind 95% of the time to Fremantle
Headwind all the way home except for a few mins
Few km from home I went screw it, dropped to 10kph and just cruised home so I wouldn't be hot n sweaty by the time I got him

I could hear it blowing a gale without getting out of bed this morning. Rolled over and went back to sleep. :(

The wind and summer sun means little commuting for me, so I'm going to get fat over summer again!

I hope you don't use wind & rain as an excuse during winter? ;)
There's no such thing as bad weather just innapropriate clothing; to quote a wise Scotsman.

I am praying the forecasted strong southerly shows up today(unluckly southern suckers), as Joondalup - CBD this morning against the SE wind was not great and i will badly need a helping shove home.

LOL, I'm just a winter kind of guy. I do ride more in winter than summer. As for the sun here, there are no clothing that will help a person who suffers from heat stroke easily. I think I'll do more night rides now.

Strange one this morning. I knew it would be hot even leaving before 7am; I sped down from Currambine to Trigg, but as I got to Hillarys a strong NE-ly blew up from nowhere and I struggled home. I reckon all those boaties queuing down Hepburn Avenue to launch their boats are in for a surprise.

Now theres a dilema for tomorrows ride to work. Down the Mitchell bike path, where you sometimes get some shelter from the wind, but it can also trap the heat, or go West Coast highway and struggle up the Boulevard :(

Coast benefit is only once the seabreeze comes in, willyweather is good for timing to build a cool oasis illusion that you have choice in the matter :D

Went and saw Peter Jacksons 7th tour of New Zealand (sorry Middle Earth) during the heat today, was at Hillary's yesterday and will be there late tomorrow morning after final ride of the year. The kids love the flat water beach and being swum out to jump off the pontoon, they aren't big enough for the real beach yet, tried that once, both got dumped and ran screaming from the water.

Rode in at 5.30 this morning and after a shower at work have just stopped sweating.
This afternoon will be tough going with 41 estimated - make sure waterbottles filled and drink before you're thirsty.

I'm lucky enough to have a pool.
Usually just a case of whether there's enough room for me after the kids and all their mates claim it
