cycling assault follow up

I got egged and my wife was swerved at on the weekend. I got the license plate and made a police report. Just wondering how long I should wait till I follow up and what experience I can expect from the legal process.

No harm in you making a polite call to the station to see how they got on with their chat to the driver.

It may of slipped their mind ...........
