I'm surprissed. All I could suggest is that you may, on some days, slot between riders and do about the same speed but that is still not a very convincing argument. On the other hand I am seldom doing the smae speed and I am on the path for around 90 to 100 minutes so I get to see EVERYONE.tallywhacker wrote:dont know where you ride from Colin but I ride every work day from Dianella to East Perth (the long way - over the Narrows) and during winter there are days on end where I wont see another rider. Those are the most enjoyable riding days
To kill the boredom and un-focus(??) on my nether regions on most trips in and out by counting riders as they pass. High season is around 450 max but a lot of variation day to day. WInter usually around 200 but, again, can vary day to day a lot. Yesterdays storm was about a low a count as I can get. I also mostly leave very early and am usually at my coffee stop by 7:15.
I ride the PSP along the Kwinana Freeway from south of Leach Highway to the Narrows and then the RSP along Riverside Drive to just short of the Causeway.
This year in particular the numbers are amazing - Sassys (coffee place) still has not had it's quiet winter period, the place is still busy every morning.
