Armstrong. Cheat!

Postby Jackfrost » Fri Aug 24, 2012 3:39 pm

What a joke the sport of cycling has become but now that the ‘great man’ has now finally accepting that he cannot continue his farce any longer it has reached the bottom of the barrel.

I wonder how all the Lance Armstrong fanboys are going to react to the news today? I am predicting a meltdown!

Refusing to participate is not an admission of guilt. It is a legal right in our nation and the states. Nothing more. Nothing less.

whatever you think of Armstrong I dont believe he should be stripped of the Tour trophies.

He did pass all the tests that he was given at the time,

The tests that were tainted were at the end of his career, so an old man can't handle losing, so what, the races where he was tested and were tainted were minors, he had already retired.

So he gets stripped of the titles, he has already retired what does he care. Second place in the races - some will go to Contador, but we know he cheated, so lets go to the third place whos he? What does anyone care.

So that brings me to the testing reigime altogether lets say all many of the olimpians in 2012 are cheating but they havent worked out how, so in 10 years time they find the drug, so second should be first third should be first etc etc, who is going to care who won.

Its a mess

How about merging this to the main thread on this subject? As for the title, it's typical mob mentality. :P

Ok so we just let people get away with blood doping and cheating. Great message to those that think they may get away with it for a few years. Just for the record here's the list of riders that would benefit from Armstrong finally being found out:
1999
1. Lance Armstrong
2. Alex Zülle (‘98 busted for EPO)
3. Fernando Escartín (Systematic team doping exposed in ‘04)
4. Laurent Dufaux (‘98 busted for EPO)
5. Ángel Casero (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)

2000
1. Lance Armstrong
2. Jan Ullrich (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)
3. Joseba Beloki (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)
4. Christophe Moraue (‘98 busted for EPO)
5. Roberto Heras (‘05 busted for EPO)

2001
1. Lance Armstrong
2. Jan Ullrich (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)
3. Joseba Beloki (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)
4. Andrei Kivilev
5. Igor González de Galdeano (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)

2002
1. Lance Armstrong
2. Joseba Beloki (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)
3. Raimondas Rumšas (Suspended in ‘03 for doping)
4. Santiago Botero (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)
5. Igor González de Galdeano (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)

2003
1. Lance Armstrong
2. Jan Ullrich (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)
3. Alexander Vinokourov (Suspended in ‘07 for CERA)
4. Tyler Hamilton (Suspended ‘04 for blood doping)
5. Haimar Zubeldia

2004
1. Lance Armstrong
2. Andreas Kloden (Named in doping case in ‘08)
3. Ivan Basso (Suspended in ‘07 for Operacion Puerto ties)
4. Jan Ullrich (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)
5. Jose Azevedo (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)

2005
1. Lance Armstrong
2. Ivan Basso (Suspended in ‘07 for Operacion Puerto ties)
3. Jan Ullrich (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)
4. Fransico Mancebo (‘06 implicated in Operacion Puerto)
5. Alexander Vinokourov (Suspended in ‘07 for CERA)
Disgraceful sport is a disgrace.

Armstrong must have been superhuman to beat all these drug cheats. Should really disband these sort of races altogether as all they do is breed a culture of drug cheating and real athletes being left out of any sort of accolades.

No wonder it's call the Tour De Farce

Shame I didn't swap lunch boxes with Lance 'Wingnut' Armstrong. Would be interesting to see what his mum packed for him

Hmmm. I understand that there are some who have been sued by Armstrong in the past who have been keenly waiting to how this all pans out with a hope or recovering past damages that they have paid him.

Does this make it more possible or less possible for them to go after him?

So they were all on drugs makes it a level playing field! Maybe they should have played Aussie rules with their drug policy non them would have been caught. Least cycling tests and busts people unlike many other sports. The real shame is clean athletes who loose their jobs due to cheats. If your guilty it should be a life ban.
