Re: Foldabike on gumtreeWell the weight limit on these bikes is low, too much weight and they fold. And after 3 months the frame hinge has a habit of tearing off, ending the whole fold thing. Plus they're still too big to be allowed on the trains in peak hour. Apart from that ...
Re: Foldabike on gumtreeI've had a Dahon 3 speed folder for about 15 years. As long as you ride them as they're meant to be ridden (ie short distances, probably in conjunction with either a car or public transport) they are very useful and pretty good fun.
I've taken mine on the train and when folded up, I've actually been able to sit on the seat, allowing somebody else to sit down elsewhere. ![]() I've even used it for shopping with a trailer.
