2012-13 Grants program
Successful grant applications in the 2012-13 PBN Grants program have been awarded.
A total of 37 projects (19 Local Governments) will be undertaken in the $2m program.

19.1km (14.2km paths and 4.9km bicycle lanes) of network infrastructure is being generated from the funding.

This is a 100% increase from last year for the funding, so have a look and see what cycling infrastructure is being proposed in your area.

Next to nothing happening in the western suburbs. Town of Claremont are putting a path down the length of Stirling Road, will they be able to maintain 2.5m width through the subway?

Cambridge is doing something worthwhile in Floreat. Nothing from Subiaco, Nedlands, Mosman Park, Peppermint Grove and Cottesloe, shame. Freo's works are all south of the river.

All that city of cockburn is doing is updating a concrete path to a red ashphalt path along North Lake Rd from Semple CT to Tea Tree close, I for one will still be riding the road when I ride on North Lake Rd. They should have bike lane

From my perspective as a Freo resident, I am very happy with the bicycle lane on South Terrace between Alma Street and Parry Street. I just hope that they sort the roundabout as well. The other works are small but still important links in the developing network.

Just wish that last year's grants where finalised as well.
