Postby Aushiker » Tue Nov 06, 2012 4:01 pm

From the West Australian online ...

Update, 12.40pm: An elderly man has died after he was hit by a car while riding a bicycle this morning.

The crash happened near the intersection of Oakmont Avenue and Seminole Avenue just after 10am.

The man was taken to Peel Health Campus by St John Ambulance but is believed to have died in hospital.

My thoughts are with the family and friends.

Sad news, but it may not be the result of a collision according to the bastion of journalism that is the mandurah mail

POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding an elderly man’s death in Meadow Springs this morning.

Originally listed as a traffic accident, police were called to the Oakmont Avenue/Seminole Avenue intersection just after 10am following reports a man had been hit by a car.

The man, believed to have been in his 80s, was riding a bicycle.

It is now understood no vehicle was involved.

The man was rushed to Peel Health Campus but has since died.

Enquiries are continuing.
