There's a few roads around the ranges, you can go up bluff knoll to the carpark (about 450-500m) but I'm pretty sure the trail which goes to the top (around 1000m) isn't open to bike and I don't think you'd get up it anyway.
Some good rolling terrain but not really big hills.

BTW did you end up doing the railway ride along the track in Brigadoon(Avon River Valley) on your cyclocross? I would be interested in taking my Alan cyclocross there and riding through to Toodyay if possible.
cheers

Edit: Might be able to sneak the cross bike up Bluff Knoll, have a feeling you might get a stern talking to from park rangers though.

68.6kms / 2,138m gain (repeats)
Although it wouldn't be one single climb, a morning spent doing those repeats would be some good training I suspect

I dont see why a bike would be anymore environmentally damaging that hikers, however I think you maybe right, I don't think they would want groups of cyclists climbing
the Knoll. Though it could be good for tourism down there if it was possible to climb to the top or near the top.
cheers

Maybe it changes towards the top to just a track.
The other pics seem to show a sealed bike type path.
