City of Vincent Bike Network Plan Meeting

Postby Aushiker » Wed Nov 28, 2012 12:44 pm

The City of Vincent has contracted AURECON Transport Engineers and Planners to develop the City of Vincent Bike Network Plan 2013.

A Bike Network Plan assesses existing infrastructure and looks at innovative ways of improving and expanding on existing infrastructure. It is vital that the Plan improves the safety and connectivity of cycling within Vincent, whilst also providing an opportunity to improve facilities for other modes of active transport and promotes the health and environmental benefits associated with these sustainable modes.

More than just an update of the City’s current plan, the new Plan will guide some very positive short and medium term improvements in the City, as well as highlight some longer term aims.

This Plan needs your input as a cyclists.

The Forum on December 3, 2013 at the Woodville Pavillion, Woodville Reserve, Cnr Namur and Fitzgerald Street, North Perth between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM is a crucial opportunity for community members and other interested parties to highlight what improvements they would like to see in the City’s bike network.

It is not the only opportunity to provide your input. We are also conducting a survey as to what community members concerns and interests are. You can access the survey through this link or through hard copies available from the City of Vincent Library.

Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be served – please RSVP for catering purposes.

RSVP: Francois Sauzier, City of Vincent TravelSmart Officer at or 9273 6558.

Thanks to the Bicycle Transport Alliance for the heads-up on this forum.
