I would like to ask if anyone here has any updated information regarding a shared path being constructed on the northern side of Ocean Reef road, Edgewater.

I remember seeing some time ago (2009 - 2010 ?) that there was a grant for a path to be built between where the path ends at Lake Joondalup up to either Trappers Drive, Edgewater Drive or Joondalup Drive.

I believe that it is only a matter of time before there will be a serious accident involving cyclists and pedestrians attempting to cross Ocean Reef Rd from the Edgewater side to the Woodvale side. I cross this road almost everyday and with the large increase of traffic on this road since its extension, it has become very dangerous to cross. This area is very popular with cyclists, walkers, joggers as they use the many paths throughout the Yellagonga regional park.

I believe a path from Trappers Drive / Ocean Reef Rd intersection (north side) to connect to where the path ends at the Lake Joondalup causeway urgently needs to be constructed to enable cyclists / pedestrians to cross using the traffic lights.
