This morning about 630 am on the north west section of the bridge.
He looked in a lot of distress, fellow riders stayed with him til the ambulance arrived.
Hope he's OK.

Yeah, ambo was still there around 7:30 when I came through.

These few days between Christmas and New Years always seem to be the most dangerous on the paths. A decent amount of regular commuters combined with a huge increase in the number of people out for recreation rides (often irregular riders on new and unfamiliar bikes) means it's a nightmare. There was a huge increase in the number of riders heading south on Kwinana, and I counted a depressing number riding 2 abreast with the inside rider on the wrong side of the dividing line.

I've been hit twice by other riders at Mt Henry when they took the blind corners in the wrong lane, but both times I was lucky and it was only glancing hits. One would have been a disaster, but I was commuting on my MTB and the bars on the oncoming roadie just fit underneath my bars as he grazed me. So close that his brifters smashed a couple fingers on the brakes but I managed to stay upright. Worst part about that hit was the bike right before him just missed me by a few cm, and it was a rider with her kid in a bike seat on the back! I don't know what is wrong with some people.

At least now that they've painted solid lines through those turns people seem to bit a little bit better about staying on their own side.

You'll find it's probably even worse on days like today when it's deadly hot from 10.00 onwards, so you'll find 90% of riders getting their ride done before 9.00 = super congested.
