Wet Weather Hazard on Arena Bridge Ramp

Repair work was undertaken on the temporary ramp adjacent to the Arena late last week.

Metal strips have riveted over the joins in the boards - however they are not painted with the same anti-slip as the boards themselves.

The ramp was wet this morning - myself & a fellow cyclist both had front wheel slide outs on the corners.

I was on my MTB so managed to stay on - the other guy was on a road bike & wasn't so lucky.

Please take care here if it has been raining.

Yeah, that was nasty. They had a guy at the halfway point calling out cautions to cyclists coming through. Unfortunately his attention was at a small group coming over the bridge as I got there from the other side and lost my front wheel at the first bend! Managed to stay up, somehow. Scary.

Then the same thing happened at the Claisebrook station/overpass. That metal strip up the top where the up ramp meets the bridge gets me frequently when it's wet, which it was this morning for some reason.
