Not sure what is planned as that area had a whole streetscape do-over by the council not long ago and a roundabout recently built at the Wray Ave intersection however there's more going on. At the mo' if you are riding down South Tce and pass Alma St then Mercer Cycles you will suddenly drop 2 inches off a sharp edge where they've cut the bitumen out and just before the roundabout you have to get your wheels over a 2 inch sharp lip to get back onto normal road. There are no dentists in the immediate vicinity so take care.

Any word on how long it'll be like this or how far down South Tce this dredging will go?

If I was to hazard a guess, it would be some sort of pedestrian crossing or speed bump.

Felt more like they were developing a deep valley and cliff faces for the SAS to train in.

I had a quick chat to Sam Wainwright, Fremantle Councillor last night and I believe it is works to do with putting in more cycling lanes along South Terrace.
