Mate I've been thinking about it since Friday.
Think about this.. if you hit a car with enough force to throw you off your bike and cause a fair few cuts and grazes, surely you would think to check the damage you may have done to the object you hit. ? Its a small car, a Yaris..not a hummer..

Anyways, enough with the conjecture and nit picking.. any info please get in touch.
If you have nothing in relation to this matter to add, please do so in pm.

Cheers

That's a totally different thing and understandable. Mark is talking about doing (or not) the right thing when in the wrong. In the colliders shoes, I wouldn't be able to look meself in the mirror until I had done everything possible to make things right. You win 'em, you wear 'em.

Agreed, if it was you, please do the right thing. If it wasn't, a retraction would be nice.

Offcourse he is angry. As he is allowed to be.
His wife was involved in a hit and run...
The rider in question should man up and pay the bill.

Its defenatly damaged and wil cost more then $1000 for repairs. Respray bar and tailgate.....
He rode off so he would not have to deal with it.
A dent like that in the bar indicates a speed over 10km/h.
Wich means he had a good hit... he knew...
Meaning a hit and run.....

Thats a low act... no excuses.

Damn right mate. Its not the money mate.
Its the fact that they smashed her car, had her worried and then thought "fk her" and took off. I'd like to think we on here were raised to be responsible for our actions

I understand one is embarrassed and all.
But there is a reason we have a law that clearly states leaving the scene is illegal.

I first thought ow.. what a fuss for a little bump. No one got hurt.. but after the pictures i changed my mind.
I would even consider reporting it to the cops.

I don't understand why you are continuing with the veiled threats?
Why not drop the internet tough guy bit, and go put in the police/insurance reports and get on with your life?

But you might need a police report for insurance anyway.

Meet for an apology .
You hit my wifes car, laughed and then mocked me on a forum.
If you didn't hit her car, simply admit on here you're a jack after some attention and say sorry.

He's admitted in pm it wasn't him who hit my wife's car. He was obviously wanting attention. Looks like I will go the insurance route, or cash offer to panel beater!

Why say it was you when it wasn't? I don't get that at all. What an utterly stupid thing to say.

Anyone's husband would be angry in this situation, it's quite normal. Mark will calm down eventually and hopefully his aggressive stance might change, as that kind of tone isn't encouraging anyone to come forward, which is clearly what the person should do...

So stop teasing the situation with inane comments as it only makes it worse.

Mark, maybe over time you'll chill and put it down as one of those things. Just try and be grateful that nobody was seriously hurt (yes even the rider) and that your wife isn't physically injured. At least it's a problem that can be fixed with money and not a surgeon!

Sure, I understand that you are pretty pissed off. Sure, what the other guy did seems to be wrong (though there certainly is the slim chance that he did not look at the damage to the car, didn't even think of it). Certainly the rider owes you the repair cost. But to get about making these veiled threats on the forum comes across to me (and others) as pretty aggressive. Everyone gets to read it, everyone feels a little bit like it's aimed at them.

All I am saying is the chances of you finding this guy are slim, especially on here, after your comments. Get on with your life. Let the anger subside. My take on it is this is why I have insurance  (eg. my collision with the 19 yo who couldn't pay)

Hi Mark, The goading of Bendito is indicative of some one that has done the wrong thing, and enjoying his achievement. Then backing away to watch his handiwork. The person that hit you could have such an antagonistic approach to hitting you wife's vehicle and still twisting the facts to think he was in the right.
No normal person would admit to such a thing as a hit and run.
I would say you have grounds to get the police involved and have this person questioned and maybe your wife can identify him.
All the above only if you are satisfied with his explanation though, and depending if you have an idea where he lives. Just my thoughts.
