FYI: Mandurah foreshore the water is NOT safe for drinking

Just an FYI in case anyone goes for a ride down to Mandurah and decides to avail themselves of the water fountains.

I was down there last week and caught several of the locals letting their dogs drink from the water bubblers (the ones in the middle of the childrends playground). When spoken to they indicated that this was perfectly ok and that city types should go back to the city - it was also pretty obvious that this was normal practice for them.

I've contacted the council but have yet to receive any decent response.

So don't drink the water down there

If dogs drinking from the bubblers is the worst that's happening to them I reckon I'll be fine.
I'd be more worried about some people's mouths going near them.

I've always wondered why local councils need to employ so many people who seem to do bugger all, I guess answering spurious letters would no doubt take up a lot of their time...

So the Yokel council hasn't heard of pet accessible bubblers?
Saw some great ones on the CCT last Monday, three outlets. Standard, low bowl for the pooches and a normal tap on the side for bottle filling. Win.
