In my view this is another great initiative by the City of Stirling; the running of children's cycle training courses during the up coming school holidays in October. I hope they are well supported and the City and other Councils take up the initiative as well.

If you are interested in the program details I have put a blog post together. Please share it with any families you think might be interested. In summary they Council is running three programs each of a couple of hours over three days. One is children who want get off training wheels or those who have never learned to ride at all, one is a bike control program is suitable for children who can already ride on two wheels and the last one is a road safety course is suitable for children aged 9 to 12 and the course is focused on improving bike handling and teaching road safety skills such as identifying hazards, scanning, signalling, negotiating intersections and riding in light traffic.

Regards
Andrew
